Age 50+

We grow old because we stop playing."

Rancho Simi Recreation and Park District offers a variety of age 50+ programs, classes, workshops, and excursions. Programs are held in both Simi Valley and Oak Park, with most activities held at the Simi Valley Senior Center.

At the Simi Valley Senior Center you can join an activity or club such as beading and jewelry, billiards, bridge, bunco, cribbage, knit and crochet, pinochle, poker, radio club, scrapbooking, treasure hunters, quilting or woodcarving.  Explore a new art class such as ceramics, multi-media arts, oil painting, watercolor or woodcarving. Enjoy the art of music with guitar lessons or by joining the Simi Valley Chamber Orchestra. Take a step into one of the many dance classes like clogging, line dancing, tap, ballet or Victorian dance. Get some exercise with the arthritis chair exercise, low impact aerobics, strength training, pilates or yoga. Try a sport such as pickleball or bocce ball, horseshoes, indoor lawn bowling, kick-boxing, or ping pong. Take a hike on one of our many wonderful trails or take some lessons on the golf course.

Join friends or make new ones with an excursion!  Excursions held out of Simi Valley and Oak Park.
