YOUTH AQUATIC CLASSES 


NEW! YOUTH BOATING SAFETY: 6-13 yrs 
Boating is fun and relaxing but comes with its own set of risks. Upon completion of this course, be able to name the parts of a boat; understand boating terms, describe important safety equipment that should be on a boat; how to choose a life jacket that is right for their weight and water activity; explain how to board a boat, understand how to balance a boat; and explain what to do if a boat capsizes. Youth will also spend time in the pool learning five water survival skills, what to do if they fall out of a boat, basic rescues, CPR skills -- and fun paddling in the boat!

CO-ED WATER POLO: 14 yrs & under
Do you enjoy swimming and team sports? This program introduces water polo skills and game concepts. Make new friends, set goals, and take part

in a developmental sports program! Pre-requisite: Must be able to swim 50 yards freestyle and be comfortable in deep water.
SPRING - T/TH: 7:00 - 8:00 PM | $80/session
SUMMER - M/W: 7:00 - 8:00 PM | $60/session & $15 drop-in

JUNIOR LIFEGUARDS: 10-14 yrs old
RSRPD’s Junior Lifeguard program introduces youth to the fun and rewarding job of protecting and saving lives at the pool. This dynamic summer program provides participants with an introduction to water safety, scanning & surveillance techniques, victim recognition, water rescue skills, and basic CPR/First Aid training. Register for multiple weeks, as each session will showcase a new theme. Bring a snack, water, sunscreen, swimsuit, towel and googles. Junior Lifeguards have the added benefit of enjoying Open Swim from 1-3pm at no extra charge. A fantastic opportunity to apply their newly acquired skills and further enhance their aquatic experience. Pre-requisite: must be able to swim 100 yards (four laps) comfortably, tread water for one minute and exit the pool without using ladder or steps. M-F: 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM | $95 per session

ADULT AQUATIC CLASSES


WATER FIT with Jenifer White
Exercising in the water is a fantastic way to improve cardio conditioning, increase endurance, and develop muscular strength using the resistance and buoyancy of the water. It is also an excellent activity for those looking to cross-train or individuals recovering from injuries. Participants exercise to upbeat music, so you'll burn calories while having fun! AQUA PILATES with Erin Moreno
Using the natural resistance of water, this class will take Pilates exercises to the next level. Build a strong core, enhance flexibility, tone the muscles, all while gaining body awareness. We will use pool noodles, resistance gloves, and aqua dumbbells for support and additional resistance. This class is adaptable to all fitness levels. T/TH: 8:10 - 9:10 AM | April & May

AQUA POWER HOUR with Erin Moreno
Get a heart pumping workout with minimal joint impact, using the natural resistance and buoyancy of water. This class will implement a variety of exercise techniques that will inspire and motivate you to increase cardiovascular health, endurance, and build muscle strength. Equipment: resistance gloves &  dumbbells (RSRPD has equipment available for use). T/TH: 8:10 - 9:10 AM | March  and   T/TH: 9:15-10:15 a | April & May

AQUATICS FOR SENIORS: 50 yrs+
Aquatics for seniors can help develop flexibility, strength, and cardiorespiratory endurance. Come on down and swim or do water exercises. Kickboards and

noodles available for use. M-S: 8:10 - 9:10 AM | $20/month

SWIMMING PLUS: Adults

Swimming+ is designed to help our community fall in love with swimming. This adult aquatic program supports all skill and fitness levels. Swimming+ is flexible to help you fit some pool time into your busy schedule. By joining Swimming+ you will receive up to five hours of coach-led classes, up to 38 hours of lap swim time, a year-round heated pool (78*- 81*) and so much more! Whether you can swim one lap or 100 laps, we are here for you.

PREREQUISITES: 18 years old+, must be comfortable in the water and able to swim 25 yards of freestyle

RSRPD AQUATICS REFUND, CHANGE & MAKE-UP PROCEDURES

AQUATICS REFUNDS: Refunds, minus a $5 administration fee per class, will be deducted from all participant-initiated refund requests if requested TWO business days before the start of the class during business hours (M-F, 9:00 AM-5:00 PM). After the start of class refunds or pro-rations will be granted for noted medical emergencies. Refund requests will not be accepted after the end of the session. Refunds will be granted due to RSRPD pool closures. 

Example: Your swim lesson session starts on Monday, refund or change requests must be made by the Thursday prior to the first day of class.

AQUATICS CHANGES: Session or level changes must be made TWO business days before the start of the class during business hours (M-F, 9:00 AM-5:00 PM). Changes are subject to class and enrollment availability. A $5 administration fee will not be charged for students who progress to the next level, or who are recommended to move based on instructor recommendation.

AQUATICS MAKE-UPS: Due to the high demand for swim lessons and the intricate scheduling of instructors, we do not offer make-up lessons.
