We deeply apologize for the cancellation of the Wheels In Motion Event Sunday, September 17th due to inclement weather. We have rescheduled the Youth Power Wheels Race portion of the event to SUNDAY, OCTOBER 15th at 9:30am. We have also reopened registration for any kids who were unable to register for the original race.

What is Wheels In Motion?

Wheels In Motion is an event that is All About The Wheels. This free event will include a youth power wheels race, a classic car show and a touch-a-truck interactive exhibit where kids can explore different types of vehicles. There will also be local food and business vendors such as Lucky Dog Café, Rock and Roll Cafe, Cinnabon, The Off Road Club, So Cal Wrap and Tint, and SS Motorsports.

Youth Power Wheels Race

Registration for the Youth Power Wheels Race is $10 per car and will open on Friday, August 4th. This race is for children between the ages of 3-12yrs old. There will be limited registration the day of the event. There will be 4 divisions for this race, 6 Volt, 12 Volt, 24 Volt and Modified Only.  Participants are required to wear a bicycle helmet and tennis shoes or boots. Flip flops, sandals or open toe footwear are NOT allowed. On Saturday, September 16th from 9-1pm there will be an opportunity for racers to drop off their power wheel car at the Rancho Santa Susana Community Center if needed. **Please note Rancho Simi Recreation and Park District is not responsible for any damage to power wheels while they are stored at our facility.

All Racers should arrive at the Rancho Santa Susana Community Center by 9:00 am to check in.
10:00-10:20 am                                   6 Volt Race
10:30-10:50 am                                   12 Volt Race
11:00-11:20 am                                   24 Volt Race
11:30-12:00 pm                                   Modified Only Race

Touch-a-Truck

Touch-A-Truck is an interactive experience designed to allow children to explore, climb, and TOUCH safety vehicles, transportation vehicles and heavy duty vehicles of all shapes and sizes.

Race Rules

1. This race is for kids between 3-12 years old.
2. ""Volt Power Wheels will only be permitted to race in this division.
3. No added reinforcements for strength will be permitted.
4. Stock tires only, no screws in tires, no chains, etc.
5. Do not raise or lower Power Wheels.
6. Helmets are optional but highly recommended!
7. Seat belts are recommended.
8. Secure doors or hatches that may open with straps/zip ties.
9. No passengers permitted in vehicles.
10. Please be sure to register your child for this event and not the parent/guardian.
